We wanted to stop by and introduce ourselves properly, so we can get to know each other a little better.

So who are the faces behind the scenes? 🤔 Well, we’re not an off-shoot of a multinational brand. And we haven’t got any faceless investors sat on our board.

We’re just two people who truly believe that being vegan is great and want to do our bit to amplify it.

So here’s a little bit about each of us. Don’t pretend you don’t like to be a little nosey from time to time 😉

About Becca

Exploring the side streets of Lisbon 🇵🇹

I’m Becca, I like books, tea, an epic vegan burger and travel ✈️ (or at least I did until corona made it’s presence well and truly known).

I’ve been vegan since 2016 but before that I was a lifelong vegetarian 🌱

Animals were my first love and going vegan had been on the cards for some time. One day though it just suddenly clicked that if I was going around calling myself an animal lover I really needed to step up and make the leap into veganism.

And I haven’t looked back since. It’s been a learning curve for sure, but one I’ve really enjoyed.

The number of vegan products available today compared to a few years ago is astounding, and it’s only going to get better.

I’m so passionate about the vegan lifestyle for animals, your health and the environment. To be working on etico with my best buddy is so exciting and we’re really glad you’re here for the journey 😊

About Mark

At Pena Palace in Sintra 🏰

I’m Mark, I’m the one who does the marketing and the website. Like B, I’m a huge fan of travelling (Bali was amaaaazing 🏝), but I’m also pretty keen on a good beer.

I run my own marketing agency, Incremental, so my mad marketing skills along with my passion for veganism were key components for creating etico.

In terms of my vegan journey, Becca’s been a big inspiration here 🤩

I wasn’t brought up vegan and frankly I never thought that lifestyle was for me. But 25 years in I started to question things. It doesn’t take much research to find the truth, and I really didn’t like what I found.

So I made a change. When Becca and I moved in together for the first time in 2014, I switched to a vegetarian diet and eventually moved to a vegan lifestyle a few years after that.

As much as I love being part of the vegan world, I really think that veganism suffers from being grossly under-serviced around the world.

So I guess here we are with etico to help make things a little bit easier!

It’s really exciting to launch something new like this, particularly as it has mine and Becca’s names on the tin.

It’s a little nerve wracking too, so we really do mean it when we say that your support — every like, share, positive review and purchase — really means the world.
